I'm losing a lot of sleep over this. Some, even as I type this.

OP would it make you feel better to remember that time is perceived subjectively, so there's a chance that those very last moments before death, when there is nothing left to your reality but you and your dwindling synapses, could be perceived by you as an eternity?

Nope.

I figure that if the individual isn't bright enough to explain it without YouTube, whatever the crap is that he is linking to is going to be just as moronic. I just breeze on by.

OP, I think you've just about beaten this theme to death. You aren't going to get any more new or different answers. See a shrink about your unnatural fixation...or go see if you can figure out a way to upload your consciousness to a conglomeration of silicon and circuits.

There is only one thing one needs to know- without the structure of the brain to hold it, the bio-electric energy field that makes awareness possible will collapse and dissipate. Absent the structure, the energy will 'evaporate' like the charge on a capacitor removed from the power supply, and the totality of it will never again be recoverable in any manner remotely similar to the original.

Even worse would be being alive after 120 years. I can't imagine what the girls would look like? They're not too bad at nearly 60 but at 180 years old? YIKES!

Why keep commenting on his thread then? You could just ignore it or move on to something else.

You are stating an opinion, your opinion. You are a limited human being, as we all are. You cannot possibly answer the unanswerable. You can just guess, make assumptions, and use your limited human intelligence and senses to try and answer that which, for humans, is unanswerable.

I'll probably feel the same way I felt when I wasn't here 120 years ago.

Yeah but this time it's going to be forever.
That's what frightens me so much.
