Your right, getting food only facilitates a healthy body. Which in turns entices someone to try to mate with you. And thus we have the ultimate point of life. The reproduction of that species.
As our technology makes everything way too over convenient, why bother living then? May as well let machinery rule the world for once.

I don’t understand how certain conveniences (downloading movies, delivering food, etc) translates into ‘why bother living then’. Of course technology makes our lives better - more time to do the things that matter, less time on trivial day to day tasks. (Assuming one utilizes the additional time wisely).
I have nothing to say about the proposition, I mean I just think technology kind of kills the need of energy for many tasks and I think when someone is young and exposed to certain items they are less likely to perform the task the particular item is able to perform
Almost everything is in it for us
Why drive to get food? Just get instacart or Uber Eats
Why bother playing video games on your console? Just download a game on your phone
Why bother go out to watch a movie or rent one? Just pop in some Netflix or Hulu.
Why bother fixing your car? Just have a mechanic come to your house(oh those services exist)

Most technology is a waste of time for humans. They are designed to be that way. They are money streams that distract us from the 1/10 of the 1% to continue their profit at all costs plan.
