Before that question was asked to George Bush in his first presidential debates with Gore, I don't think I had ever heard anyone say they had a "favorite philosopher". HOnestly, I can't think of one I would call my favorite. There are many I think had great ideas, and some I don't appreciate. But I don't think I can say I have a "favorite philosopher."
