I am considering purchasing a home in the Arcadia District, however, it doesn't have a garage nor a carport. It has enough set back for one and the width. Generally, what does a 2 car carport cost to construct?

Thanks,

H

I'm assuming the original carport was converted into living space. If so, have you considered converting it back into a car port?

True. I can't imagine ANY house in what would even loosely be called Arcadia that was not built with a garage or carport.

Can't help you on the cost. With all the remodelers looking for work, you should get multiple bids and work to get a really good deal.

Default Update

Thanks everyone for the ideas and offers. The owners are now working with an architect to come up with a plan to keep the originality of the elevation. I am not sure if they're paying for this yet or if I can work it into the offer.

That is correct and it seems to be done very well. It also correctly blends in with the rest of the house, which is nice. I've seen some crappy additions in that area. I wouldn't want to convert it back.

Thanks.
