I have been a long time Thomas Bros fan (came from years using them in my line of work over in CA), and still have a Phoenix edition, BUT, if you are looking for PINAL county, the World of Maps version is MUCH more comprehensive and accurate. The Thomas Bros still thinks of the Pinal County suburbs as afterthoughts, for instance it doesnt even have the City of Maricopa in it at all! The QC and Casa Grande stuff is half hearted at best, whereas the WOM version is very accurate, up to date, and even has pictures of county landmarks etc.

I like the Thomas Guide page grid system alot better than WOM though (just seems slightly easier), so when I head into Phoenix proper and need a map I still use the Thomas Guide.

Wow. Thanx for the heads-up. Are you talking the 2010 version? That's unconscionable LOL

Well, mine is a 2008 version - I never did get a 2009 version (I kept asking when it was gonna come out and got delayed and delayed. I havent even checked into the 2010 version since for my needs the 2008 version of PHX is fine, and then I found the World Wide Maps of Pinal which is so much better.

The thing is that Thomas Bros only has the Tucson and Phoenix METRO areas, they dont have every single county like they do in CA, so they only had rudimentary Casa Grande, Florence, Apache Junction, and Pinal QC, and the city limits were totally off, and half the subdivisions are not even listed.

Im sure if TB ever gets a Pinal only version it will be fine, but not yet - unless 2010 is better.

As others have mentioed just use GPS. I used to use the Thomas books - no reason to anymore. One can have access to google maps on one's phone. It is most practical to just do that.
