We've just purchased a home in Power Ranch (Gilbert). We're looking for a vet for our two cats. I went to the two vet offices closest to us & was taken aback at what the costs were. Apparently, semi-annual visits are expected as well as periodic teeth cleaning (at WAY more than what it costs to clean MY teeth.)

Hate to sound cheap - but is this normal? I love my cats but want to keep their medical care costs reasonable. Are there vets within a few miles of Power Ranch that anyone would care to recommend?

Thanks.

Dont know of a vet in your area, but yes pet care here is alot more pricey than other parts of the country. When I lived in Dallas I would take my dog in once a year get all his shots,a 6 mo supply of heartworm pills and be outta there spending less than 100 bucs. Here in Phoenix Im spending easliy double that.

I've found vet care here very high, too. You have to shop around, plus try for a good vet, cuz a lousy one will cost you more in the longer-term. I've found a fair amount of vets just not very good.
