Default Info on CPA firm needs/salaries?

I wanted to know what the job atmosphere is out there in the accounting arena if anyone knew. Any ideas of average salary for a non-degreed professional with 8+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping and tax prep? I'm most interested in pay ranges in CPA firms, if there are any CPA's here.

Allison31 is on a distinguished road
Hi there,

I have a friend who works for a Big 4 firm (auditor), he has many years of experience but he is not a CPA. It is my understanding that he makes somewhere around 100K plus bonuses. He does travel to CA quite frequently. According to Robert Half Phoenix pays 106% of the national average.

I would say that the needs here for experienced accountants is pretty good. All the big CPA firms are located here. Career Builder is a good place to look for jobs in Phoenix.

Good luck!
