Default Tempe Public Library

This is, hands down, the best library I've had regular access too. The selection here is amazing be it books or dvds. Love the massive collection of foreign and Criterion dvds stocked on the shelves (just wish people would treat them with more care). I just returned Wings of Desire a film that I don't think I could find at a Blockbuster.

I dig the free wireless internet access too. At the current time I don't have internet at home aside from my phone. It's nice to use the laptop again from time to time.

Great selection of books of all kinds. My last library was pathetic and I couldn't find anything worth my time. They didn't even have Moby Dick. How crazy is that?

Just another reason I'm glad I relocated to Tempe.

Off-topic, but I just have to say how much I love Wings of Desire. One of my all-time favorite movies, although it's really more like a dream. Absolutely lovely and wistfully sad. I've heard that Wenders made it after becoming totally frustrated with trying to work in Hollywood. He certainly channeled his emotions in a constructive way. This is one of the few movies I know of where the translated title is better. When originally released in Germany, it was called Der Himmel über Berlin which means The Sky Over Berlin. I get it, but it's not nearly as romantic.

Three cheers for the Tempe Public Library making work like this readily available to the public.
