Just North of Mountain Ridge High School (67th/Deer Valley) there is a place that boards. Its across the street from Glendale, AZ - Parks and Recreation - Thunderbird Park
I'm not a horse guy, so I can't tell you if it's any good.

Same holds true with most boarding stables around the Valley.

Just inside South Mtn Park if you enter from the north on Central you will see the horse riding place on the right.

The is another on west side of Scottsdale Rd just before it turns into Rural behind the Del Rio night club.
And there is another on the east side of Mesa but I'm sorry I forget the location.

There is also a place way west on Olive at the foot of the White Tanks but I have not tried them yet.

You can rent and go riding at all 4 places.
I think the OP said in her first post she wasn't looking for horse rental riding stables.

There are no large boarding stables in Laveen, but there may be some small privately owned facilities that board a horse or two. That's what Bridle and Bit and ads on feed store bulletin boards are for.

We used to board our horses out near the White Tanks...miles of beautiful trails and great horse facilities. Don't know whats available for boarding but thats easy enough to find out. I, personally would not board my horses at a public riding stable.

Found my old boarding place online:
Painted Sky Ranch
ryuskis@aol.com
17236 W. Mountain View Rd. Waddell, AZ 85355
623-935-3683

These people were terrific: honest and knowledgeable. I boarded my horses there for years...even bought one of their Paint foals.

We also boarded our 4 horses for a few years at Dale Creek Equestrian Village (quite possibly the stupidest name for an equestrian facility ever) just north of Old Litchfield Park. It was called Cottonwood Stables when we were there and it's been in continuous operation for many years (the daughter took over and changed the name).
They do a good job and the facilities are nice, plus there is a lot going on...trainers, lessons and shows. They have several arenas including a jumping arena and a big galloping track.
You used to be able to ride out in the desert from the stable but it's unfortunately surrounded by subdivisions now. If you have a trailer though, it's a very short drive to the White Tanks or Estrella's riding trails.
They are at Camelback and Dysart: 623-935-4513

There are small dude ranches and private stables all over the place. They are everywhere out west, where I am at. You will find horse property on every dirt road out in Tonopah. The riding out there kind of sucks, there ain't much to look at. For great riding, I recommend Wickenburg area. It is still unmolested by industry and development. You can still find Saguaro Cactus out that way. As far as keeping your ponies somewhere, you can pick up a house on some horse property real cheap out my way right now, or you can probably rent a stable at one of the many ranches in Wittman area. I have got a friend who's family runs a small dude ranch in Wittman, they take care of city folks horses out there. They get ridden, fed, and brushed as long as you pay for it.

Also, out here in Buckeye, we have the Equestrian Center, just a couple years old. Probably a bit too far out for you, Buckeye is the last stop till anywhere west. It is right on the Gila River, miles of trails all over out here.

Wickenburg may well work for you, Peeples (not "Peoples", BTW) Valley is very pretty, but is definitely outside "the Valley" (Wickenburg technically is, too, but it is at least close enough that an occasional drive into the west side communities is not a huge chore). Peeples Valley is further out, more isolated, (you are closer to Prescott than Phoenix there) and doesn't have the amenities that even Wickenburg does. At the 2000 census, Peeples Valley had 374 residents. I didn't get the impression that you wanted to be that far out, even if you can work from home. You don't have to be that far out, as this thread indicates, just to be able to board and trail ride.
