I am thinking about relocating from the midwest to the Glendale area after I graduate nursing school in two years, can anyone give me any information on the area and is it a good area to raise children?

The northern parts of Glendale are quite nice, there are also some newer areas to the west. Good places for families, I suspect they will still be nice in two years. If you do a search here for "Glendale" you will find a lot of information that may answer a lot of the questions you have. If you still have questions after reading, ask away!
