Default What renter rights do i have?

Hello,
I live in Phoenix and on 6/30/07 my ac unit quit working, maintenance showed up at 7 pm and said that he would have to clean the coils on 7/01/07 in the morning at 8 am because coils were too hot to clean at night.
He came back in the morning and said that he couldnt get it working and that we probably need a new ac unit and that could take 3-4 days which with the holiday means maybe next saturday. We slept in here last night but it never got below 85 degrees.
This week they are predicting 117 for wednesday and thursday, i cant live in that, myself and my family didnt fall asleep until 5 am this morning and we were up at 8 already, too hot to sleep.
What are my rights as a renter, can i get reimbursed for days of ac not working, can i get them to pay for a hotel or give me a new apartment.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
dan k

Overview of Arizona Residential Landlord/Tenant Law

Dan, if you need some extra fans until your AC is repaired, perhaps some people can help you out with some extra fans that they may have laying around that they do not use. I have a big square one that sits on the floor, stored in the garage - that blows pretty hard if you may want it if you are willing to meet 1/2 way in between Fountain Hills and Phoenix (maybe Tempe). PM me and let me know if you want it.
