You are not the only one who considers Phoenix a prison sentence, but I will change that in 2007 after I sell my house that is worth less than I paid for it 2 years ago. I will gladly take the 50K hit and move back to Colorado and enjoly the 3 feet of snow and sub zero temp's. It's not the weather that I dislike here, its the crime infested, filthy neighborhoods and the backwards thinking of the planners who allow the sprawl, without even considering the lack of infrastructure.

I don't care for Arizona much myself! I think it's a pretty boring state actually and not really any season changes- we have hot and hotter! I want to move to Nashville, Tennessee

Thanks for your input. Like you, I will be spending a small fortune to move where I will be going, but it is worth it. I would even move back to the midwest and freeze my ass off, as it eventually ENDS. This heat goes for nearly half of the year. It is awful. And as you can see by SOME of the previous posters, the people here suck.

We lived in Kingman for 2 years, and yes, after about the first 6 months, I absolutely HATED it. I didn't love the weather, but it was the horrible schools that really made me miserable (I had to homeschool my kids while we lived there as a result!)
Sorry you are stuck there! I am a native of Southern California, and I know the desert really leaves one wanting the ocean.

If you were to read the original posting, you would see that this is not a place where we are looking for words of encouragement, but rather a place to agree with our feelings that we dislike AZ.

Yes, thanks for your post. It is depressing to be inside all day. Even for those people who are lucky enough to be morning people-it is still hot as hell. I mean, it is over 90! These "feel gooders" can't even let us feel good by finding others who empathize. I mean really!

Yes, it will have seasons there. And greenery. And rain! I mean, it rains here for just long enough at night to wake me up-to make it muggy-and not cool anything off. I can't keep a plant alive! Everything dies other than the aloe vera and cactus. I would actually prefer boring over hostile, which is what I get both online here and in person. Good luck to you! Hope you get to move to Nashville.
