Lamar, you've got other 'issues' besides dog barking, I am certain and you actually never really liked dogs. Get counseling before you blow up--there's no need for your 'bark-suffering', for that is not the root of your problem.
Stay on top of the city and be vigilant at reporting those who choose to neglect their animals. It's not the animals' fault, it's simply the result of bad animal owners. Seek to hold them responsible. Remember, we're the 'higher' beings and must seek to hold the bad owners accountable as much as we legally can and initiate new laws where neccessary.

This is one of the risks about being stuck in a place. Sometimes you don't know who is going to move in, or who has a noisy dog which was inadvertently missed. Not much you can do about it once you're stuck. Good luck.

Where I live, there's dogs barking just about every block. Every time I go jogging or take a long walk some dog has to bark at me at every block I pass by. And I'm talking about this small town in Arizona too!

EnicAZ, is there a dog barking ordinance in your city? LinaJo76, anytime you are passing a dog's territory, expect it to bark...that's part of their job, as far as they know, to alert their owner of someone getting close to their 'danger zone'. As for multiple dogs barking continuously for no apparent reason, that's an issue to address at the city meetings if your city does not have such ordinances in place. If your city does...report, report, report and encourage other annoyed neighbors to do so. This eventually forces the issue to be addressed by city officials.

Hi sw,

There is an ordinance in most neighborhoods, but it is so much trouble for anyone to address the barking dog issues that most people are too exhausted to do anything about it. Even if you could get 1 dog calmed down, then there are others on the other side that are still active. Also, it is uncomfortable to have to bring up these conflicts with your neighbors, and bringing in bad will into the neighborhood.
