I think every district has a different system cause some of them are year round and some are not. So not all of them start up again right after the first of January. You need to check with your own district to see what they do.

I go to school in the Mesa district, and we go back on the 3rd, and my friends in the Chandler, Gilbert, and Apache Junction districts go back on the 3rd.

This is going to depend on your district. There is usually imformation available by phone, or on the website of the school district you are in.

I see this is reviving an old thread.

All those schools that are on a relatively traditional calendar, which would be most public schools, will go back in session this coming Tuesday, January 3.

Some will resume Tuesday, January 3. Other will wait until Monday, January 9. It all depends on when break started in each district. Break is usually about two weeks long, so it will depend on whether a given district gave students the week before Christmas off this year.

That's not right. Of the first three districts that I checked, two of them, Paradise Valley Unified and Phoenix Elementary, go back on the 9th. They both have traditional calendars. Madison Elementary does go back on the 3rd.
