hello all my name is nick my wife and i are moveing to the area from new york. i am leaveing within the next 2 weeks to recon the area lol. years ago i was in surprise while i was in the army. we did some training there lots of good people and a hell of a air force base. we are leaveing a ultra expensive place with unreasonable taxes and cost of living. we currently pay 1600 a month for a 3 bedroom house. we are looking in or near surprise. i am a custom automotive painter and have spoken to a majority of shops in the central to northern ares of the city. we are from a nice area but by no means are we snobby upscale new yorkers. we are wondering is there any suggestions of where we should start. we are middle class at best lol. with good family values and roots.

Nonsense! Some of the nicest neighborhoods in the whole Phoenix metro are in the west valley and I suspect that once the Loop 303 is completed (they are working hard on it right now) that it will be the largest area of growth over the next 15 years.

We drive all over the west side and live in Peoria as well. I don't see the downturn you are talking about and I think that is misleading to the OP. They really need to come and explore all areas with a realtor, then make a decision.
