It's an ACTION WEATHER DAY if we are expected to even get a 1/2 inch of rain LOL

But yes, we can get severe flooding and thunderstorms with the haboobs. Nothing like hurricanes/tornados/ice storms like in other parts of the country. Haboobs are more of a nuissance and are dangerous if you are on the roads.

Most sever weather that kills people here is heat

That just shows that the person who revived it was doing what is preferred; they did a search for a thread that pertained to their question and posted in it rather than starting a new, redundant thread.
