I think it really depends on your preference. If you have the ability to, I would actually recommend going to these areas and seeing for yourself what they are like. Personally out of all them, my husband and I chose Surprise. My husband grew up in Phoenix, and from his experience he wanted to move as far north as possible but still be close enough to the city.

Each of those communities has their positives and negatives (as does every single place on this earth). The bottom line is what you prefer. Like Nice Nice Baby said, being close to family and work is imporant (traffic sucks in Phoenix) BUT if those aren't high on your priority list, then you can choose the place you like the most and that fits you the best. My preference is Northern Scottsdale, but I can't afford that. So, my realistic preference is Queen Creek. Why? Just cuz I like it better . . . not because of what anyone told me. I can't stress enough how important it is to spend some time looking when you're moving to a completely different state . . . especially if it's totally different than where you live now. You really need to get your own "feel" for a new place. Good luck with your search!

Personally I don't care for any of them, well, actually I do prefer Surprise from your options. But, whatever you like will be the one for you. They all have their positives and negatives.

I agree with everyone. I like Surprise but we ended up in Buckeye which is so far from my work. Buckeye was our second choice and I fell in love with the KB Home here in Buckeye so I drive 45min (good day) - 1.5 (bad day). I came from Chicago and the TRAFFIC here is horrible. I also recommend visiting these locations.

Tolleson is nice. No real problems there for us. Pretty quiet overall. Lot of new shopping. 20 mins to downtown and airport.
