I am going to spend a couple of weeks in the Glendale area and found Garden Desert Apartments. The are located near Luke Air Force Base at 13621 W Glendale Avenue. The seem to be affordable but thats all I know. Is this area safe are these apartments trashy. The seem to have furnished weekly rentals and perm. residents as well. Any help would be great

[mod cut-- thread moved]

Many years ago I briefly lived in Desert Gardens II, which is newer. As far as apartments go, it was "average" or possibly just slightly above average. The jets can be loud. If you will be working at Luke AFB it's very convenient. Desert Gardens I is older and less nice, but cheaper. If you are on a tight budget it's ok. I knew a few people that lived there.
Neither are anything great nor are they anything horrible.
It's been a number of years, though, and things could have changed. I don't believe crime is much of an issue there.
