Someone made some post- & said there are. Are there?

They said do not trust your Children there etc..

I was considering AZ as a place to start a family.
Would Scottsdale AZ be a bad place to raise my kids?

Please let me know. Thank you!

[mod cut-- personal] Why didn't you ask for clarification in the thread where somebody supposedly made the comment, instead of starting a new thread saying "somebody said".

Scottsdale is not a bad place to raise children.

There are sex offenders all over the country. I don't have statistical information, but I doubt if there are any more sex offenders in the Phoenix valley than there are any any other metropolitan area in the country.

There are web sites (ibarrio posted one link) that gives some information.

However, remember that some of those people do tend to move around without notifying the authorities they have moved.

I don't know what OP stands for, but I do believe that would be me. And then I'd ask- what is it you think my intent is?

I have no hidden agenda. I simply want to ask "the Locals" about a particular area of AZ that I am considering purchasing property in.

If I were there right now, I'd be asking random people on the street, in stores etc.. Since I"m here in California, I don't want to wait... until I go down there to ask. The internet is "the information super highway" I'm trying to narrow down the places I will even Consider- On the internet. Then! I will go Visit the Place(s) I finally consider places I may like to buy property in.

I obviously come across as Sincere and Genuine right?
I've read posts where they say the people in AZ have this sort of attitude. I hope it's not true..

christianguitarist-

As kdog pointed out, don't start a new thread when someone says something in another thread that raises a question. Ask for clarification THERE, or, if the thread is old, you can ask the question as a followup in your more general thread.

And, as I've already told you, you should not base your conclusions about this or any other place, or the people there, by anonymous postings on an internet forum. Some of the other places you are looking at are a longer trip, but you can come here and see for yourself.

Thread closed.
