No need to drive all the way to Scottsdale if you're planning on Ruth's Chris. There is one on East Camelback right by the movie theaters across from the Biltmore shopping center at Camelback and 24th Street.
Ruth's Chris Steak House : Phoenix, AZ Steakhouse, Arizona Steak Restaurants, Ruth's Chris Steak House

I don't eat red meat any more...but dang, Ruth Chris always tempts me. I don't think you could go wrong. The other ideas for the cowbow steaks, i.e. Pinnacle Peak would be fun, but if you are looking for an excellent steak go to Ruth's or Mastro's.

My vote: Go to Ruth's in the Biltmore area. Can't go wrong! They bring a big old sizzlin' steak with a pat of butter on it.

Off of I-10 or was that 202? I forget. I used to go to it on Scottsdale Rd, and saw its new location on the way to Tombstone, I forget which road we were on though. It was by some road that had "horse" in its title, thats all I remember. hahaha Something like "Wild Horse Road" or something. Am I close?

It's off I-10. The name of the road you are thinking of is Wild Horse Pass Boulevard.

Has anyone eaten at the Rawhide Steakhouse lately? I have never been there, and thought I would take my husband for his birthday when they have that "Sundown Cookout" I know it may be corny, but I want to do something different. He gets into that western stuff. Is the food good?

Oops, you are right, then the thread got bumped with a similar post asking about Rawhide. I haven't been there to eat in MANY years, so can't help with that one!

We ended up choosing Fogo e Brasa. I think it's in Chandler. Wasn't bad. Not the greatest Brazilian steak house but it was all right.

We've been to a couple of others since though.
