Default Birthday party suggestions for a 5 year old in August...

My daughter turns 5 in August. Too hot to do much of anything outside and prefer not to have a party at the house. We're in Goodyear and I can't think of very many venues for a party. I know there is Little Gym, there's a gymnastics place that does birthday parties, Chuck E Cheese, and Pump it Up in Glendale.

Any other suggestions? I feel like the places I named above are all so "common" and I'd love to know if there is anything else that we could do, but don't want to have somewhere way on the east side or even downtown that everyone would have to drive to (pretty much ALL the kids would be living right in Goodyear)...

Do you have a local indoor swim school? Our swim school has a whole package for birthday parties. You could also check into some of the places where the kids can cook/bake or one where they make their own pottery and decorate it.

Gilbert's Amazing Jake's is nice. Only that it is quite a drive from GY.

I love this place, too, but didn't suggest it as it is east side (close to I-10, though). I don't know that there are any similar options on the west side.

A party at Girly Girlz (Girly Girlz - Where Your Princess can Be Queen for a Day!) is also very high on my list, but the west side location must have closed. Now they're only in Scottsdale and Mesa (across the street from Gilbert, on Baseline). If you could take a van load of girls, though, it's really worth the trip. Princess for a day, dress up, etc.

Default party suggestion

We just took our 6 year old daughter to an ice skating party at the ice rink (I believe) in Chandler. It was her first time and she had a great time. I realize this is a ways from your area, but it was a lot of fun.

there is an ice rink in peoria as well (i think both the one in peoria & chandler are "polar ice" facilities)

there is a roller rink in goodyear off of van buren (skatezone)

also the YMCA can host birthday parties

I don't know of a local paint your own pottery place - the one near I-10/101 closed

I know of more outdoor options unfortunately

If you know someone who lives in an apartment complex you can usually rent out the room in the main office. I know it is about 50 bucks for the day and then you have access to the pool, volleyball, whatever they have and usually those places hold 50-70 people. Only drawback is you have to know someone who lives there.
