That's what I would expect. D-backs, Dodgers, Cubs, and maybe Giants would be big draws, either in their own park or when they are playing elsewhere in the league. The others, not so much.

This guy wants $100 each. That's slightly less than what I pay for my Diamond Club seats in Angels Stadium.

He's nuts.

Attendance is down overall. Brewers and A's have smaller number than last year. Attendance in Scottsdale for Dbacks and Rockies must be doing fine given the new park. It's always crowded.

Attendance down about a third at Phoenix spring-training parks

The spring training experience is another thing that went down the drain with the growth of Phoenix. Used to be only a couple dollars to get in and everyone was close to the game. The character of the events is completely different than it was before they built all the new ballparks. Now they have these huge stadiums that are jammed full of people and the seats that a family can afford are in the nosebleed section of right field. Be prepared for crowds and sky-high prices on everything from parking to beer.

Yeah, it is a shame. As a recent midwest transplant, Spring Training games were something my whole family was looking forward to. After seeing what we're in for, the interest has plummeted.

You should at least try it. These things are hardest on those of us who remember "when it was". If you are new to it, the experience may prove enjoyable. It's more intimate and less hectic than a regular season game (unless the Dbacks are losers, of course, in which case, spring ball has more people come out).

I'm disapointed that the expensive new stadiums have also led to some price increases across the board .... but let's not talk like taking in a game is some super expensive venture

you can still get in for the price of a movie ticket - often times less with the various promotions

I love maryvale stadium ..... friendly crowd, good access to the practice fields and reasonable seat prices .... $8 lawn, $13 outfield reserve, $16 infield reserve ...... not bad for sitting up close and enjoying some baseball

i also really like surprise stadium .... there tickets run from $7 to $23

here in goodyear they have half priced childrens seating - buy an adult and children under 12 get half off (outfield box, outfield reserve & berm) ... on the 4 dates where the 2 ohio teams play each other you can buy one berm seat and get a 2nd for a $1

plus a lot of cool stuff for kids like running the bases (some stadiums also do the senior stroll), playing catch on the field, etc

if you were in surprise today for kids got in free with each adult purchase - they also had carnival rides, a bounce house, face painting, etc with the 1st 100 receiving a backpack ...... considering that there is free parking, a family of 4 could throw a blanket out on the berm and enjoy a nice day at the park on a beautiful day for $14 (you can also bring in water/juice boxes, food within reason, etc) ...... i can definitely think of worse & more expensive ways to spend the day

What you're "in for" is a great day in the beautiful Arizona sunshine, paying less than a regular season game for awesome seats, watching America's pastime closer to the action that most people can afford during the regular season. I've been to most of our Spring Training stadiums/facilities, and always have a blast! I hope you recover your interest!
