............and yes, I've been here in the summer; quite a few times. Actually, that's all I know of Phoenix, triple digit temps. I still love it. I look out my window every morning to a beautiful mountain view (no, I did NOT pay a lot for my beautiful home) and I see the blue sky and I'm just in a GOOD mood. That's right, the sun affects me like that. I confess. I love that Phoenix is a huge city, I love that airport is only 15 to 20 minutes away (In KC where i"m from it was like a major road trip...I'm in Ahwatukee) The people seem nice, my neighbors are fine, and I live within walking distance to bars, ice cream shop, coffee shops, Trader Joes (thank God) Sooooo, I'm happy here in this great city. Will the honeymoon end? Don't know...stay tuned.

Congrats!!!

Ah...watukee! You know, I was looking really hard at Ahwatukee when I was searching for a house 2 years ago, because I love the idea of being so close to South Mountain Park (I'm an avid hiker). But the timing just wasn't right; at the time, all of the foreclosed homes I'd seen were in pretty bad shape, or too deep into the cul-de-sac, or had an HOA. I really wanted to be in that area of older homes off of Elliott and just west of 1-10...nevertheless, it all worked out quite nicely for me (I'm in the Coronado Historic District, CenPho).

But I do envy you being able to open your window on a day like today, being able to soak up the lovely scenery, perhaps with a cup of tea and a Starbucks vanilla petite scone to wash it all down!

Red face From PHX to STL

The sunshine is something I miss...

I'm in STL now and watch Cactus League games on MLB network, then I see how sunny it is in PHX...

My memories of living in PHX always include the sun being out and the weather being nice...

Including the June through September times...

PHX - Hot and sunny! Like summer should be right!

I like the Midwest but the weather is so fickle...

Wow, from Phoenix to st. Louis. I lived in Alton Il years ago and had a vintage clothing shop down where the antique shops are. We lived in an historic district called "Christian Hill" and you could see the arch from our house.

However, I wouldn't trade this for any river or arch. But I do love St. Louis...How 'bout those cards???

hahaha. I feel the same about San Diego, but then reality hits me like a ton of bricks.

Ahwatukee is alright, check out downtown phoenix. Everything is closed on the weekends, but its a fun sight seeing trip if you like interesting architecture

I bet I could find you at least 20 places in downtown Phoenix not closed on the weekend.
