I like the suggestion of writing them a note with the church key (same goes for idiots who park in two spots).
In my neigborhood it is almost exclusively the idiots with gigantic raised trucks and SUVs that park on the sidewalk. Especially annoying are the morons that bought a manhood enhancement vehicle so large that it won't fit in the driveway without completely blocking the sidewalk. I have given a few of the worst offenders an extra racing stripe or two while I am forced to walk past them in the street.

I do. If someone is inconsiderate enough to block the sidewalk every day with their oversized vehicle, they deserve it.

That would constitute "criminal damage" under the Arizona Criminal Code. And, the vehicle being on the sidewalk would not be a defense, i.e., that they "deserved it". Better not get caught.

I haven't been caught yet, not like it is an everday thing. I do notice that some of the drivers seem to get the hint, they quit blocking the sidewalk at least.

This is a big deal for my family, my wife is blind and idiots parking on the sidewalk are not just a mere annoyance. It can be a serious safety issue for her if she is walking alone with her service dog and somebody decided that the sidewalk made a nice parking spot.

I appreciate your concern, although I would think that the service dog guides her around that obstruction as he or she does others. They are amazing animals.

Have you actually called and reported this? I know it's not an emergency matter, but I've had good response when I've reported abandoned cars in front of my house, etc.

Sure the dog guides her around it, out into the street. The police are useless, they don't even bother to come out and write a ticket.
