Dont pay attention to my name, now I am leaning towards AZ for the sun and nice weather.

My question is are there any NEW and upcoming townhouse developments in the Scottsdale or Mesa area? Any communities with clubhouses that have gyms/pools? I know these communites probably make you pay an association fee to help with the cost, but i would rather do that then get in the car, drive to the gym, etc.

I checked realestate.com but couldnt find any new townhouses or condos. The prices for new homes are phenomenal compared to Chicago. Thanks

There are not many new Townhome/Condo complexes being built in the valley right now (although there are a few), since there is an over abundance of existing inventory. There are many newer units (maybe 6-7 years old) available at great prices, I think these really represent the best value.

I know of several complexes that have nice amenities. You did not state your budget, or where in the area you would like to live. Both Scottsdale and Mesa are pretty big areas so if commute is an issue that will be a factor.

DM me for more info.

I believe there are still new condos being built in the Aviano/Desert Ridge area. The zip code is 85050 and 85054. Hope that helps.

I am thinking a year or two I would be moving. Possibly a little bit longer. That is why i was curious if there would be building of these types of communities in the near future. Specifically a townhouse/condo around 1800 square foot. I'm probably being too specific and asking too much, but what the hell.

Scottsdale or Mesa, close to the I-10, and definately in a part of town with LITTLE to NO crime! And by close I mean 15 mins to the interstate.

By budget would be around 160-180k. Thanks

Is there a reason you want to be close to I-10?

Nowhere in Mesa or Scottsdale is close to I-10 but there are loop freeways that will take you to I-10.

The only areas I know of near I-10 that are safe, clean, and have less crime are in the west valley, and that is a long way from Scottsdale or Mesa.

My mistake, I figured the I-10 went straight west. Now I see it curves and heads south if you are heading east. Ten to fifteen mins from a connecting highway would be nice. This would allow me to make it to L A in about five hours or so right? thanks

Also Now I am thinking picking up a nice foreclosure. Realtor.com baby!!!

Desert Ridge has close access to the 101, but I am not sure you are going to find 1800 sf at $160-180k around most of North Scottsdale/NE Phoenix area unless you are really really lucky. If you do, let me know because Id love to buy soon.

Prior to subscribing to FlexIdx for my web site, my clients would send me mls numbers for homes they found on Realtor.com and other national sites. 80-90 % of the ones they sent me would already be under contract or sold. That's because those sites don't automatically update when the status is changed in the mls.

So I decided to spend a little more money and subscribe to FlexIdx which is the supplier of the IDX service for the ARMLS MLS here in the Phoenix area.

My web site home search now is directly in the ARMLS MLS which is updated every 4 hours. It does not use a third party search. It's the same search I use and there is greater search flexibility on this home search. I also made (4) 5-minute tutorial/demo's that show how to use all the different features. You're quite welcome to use it

Thanks I will look into that. I have also been checking out Fannie Mae REO Homes For Sale - HomePath.com. THis site seems to have updates regularly of properties under contract. Now I am thinking Mesa is going to be a better choice. Anyone have an opinion on the Fannie Mae Homepath Loan program???
