My cousin from North Hollywood is moving to Phoenix to be a mechanic and the nearby university, Arizona State, in Tempe has my major. I have some cash on me, but I am wondering if I would be able to pay tutition with some help from my parents. I heard there is a way to get a tutition cost reducement? I have my AA btw from a community college.

Thanks.

Arizona State University | Your Tuition

Note that there are residency requirements to receive the lower cost in-state tuition.

I was also checking out ASU but was surprised how expensive it is. One summer course, which is 3 credit hours I assume, would cost $1072 plus books. And that's with in-state residency.

At the University of South Florida, my balance for a 3 credit hour class this summer is $465.
Anyhow it would be foolish to transfer out there with about a year and a half left. I'd wind up having to take more prerequisites, not to mention out of state tuition.

Check into WICHE. I have a niece from out of state who is going to ASU under this program.

See if your major qualifies for the WUE program.
