I think you can IF you have a Costco card.
Price is determined by location.

You can use Amex at Costco if you are a member, which you would also have to be to get the low price, whatever it is.

No, you can use any credit/debit card at the gas stations at Costco. You do need to be a Costco member though.

Inside the store the only credit card they accept is AMEX.

I am a member. I will visit near by costco near future. I am new this area.
Yesterday it was $3.45 by some gas station. Maybe Costco is cheaper than this.
Thank you.

Costco is usually tied for the cheapest with Arco/AM-PM, maybe a cent or two cheaper than Arco.....

you can also just use your membership card to pay, if it's set up as an in-store credit card.....

Costco is usually 2 cents cheaper than Sams Club but Sams Club is cheaper than Arco/AM-PM. The only time Arco/AM-PM is cheaper is if you don't pay with credit card. Usually those places add 5 cents per gallon if you pay with credit card. The advantage Sams Club has over Costco is the waits are a lot less and the station areas are cleaner and more spacious. I have memberships to both and I prefer to fill at Sams Club for these reasons.

In my experience, Costco will ALWAYS be a lot less IF you get their Business AMEX card. We get a 4% kickback when we buy Costco gas. So if the pump shows "$3.45" (and it is "only 2 cents cheaper than Arco", I get a 14 cent additional kick-back per gallon but I HAVE to use my business AMEX which also serves as my membership card. That works out to be an additional 14 cents off of the already 2 cent savings over Arco or a 16 cent PER GALLON savings or $3.33 a gallon.

See The TrueEarnings¬ģ Card from Costco and American Express I have 4 SUV's and do my very best to fill up there so long as I am driving by a Costco anyways.

In my hood, the far left Costco line is open even when the lines are long. It seems people don't like to stretch the hose and put gas on the driver side of their car. I guess they would rather let their car idle for 5 minutes.
