My 2011 Monsoon Predictions.

I think los chabascos will arrive right on time - St John's Day - June 24th.
And this year the thunderstorms will be heavier than normal dumping lots of rain.

Feel free to agree, disagree, make your own etc..

I'm thinking it's going to be a late start this year since the beginning of June was so mild. Of course, it's all theory and I have absolutely NO experience in using an Almanac or in following weather trends! I'll set my date at July 10th.

Hmmm. I think this will be a dry monsoon year. But 2012 will be wetter than normal.

The smoke from too many fires will cause more rainfall, but lag about a year. Well it worked with St. Helens in the early 80s. I guess the fires were nothing compared to St. Helens blast though. Fun to guess.

I remember flying into Phoenix one evening from the east coast. Got to the jetway, got to my ride, got a few steps from my apartment door and it started storming like crazy. I felt lucky to beat that big cloudburst by 45 minutes. I did not have any checked in luggage fortunately! Flying over the White Mountains is not smooth in the monsoon! This season I will be flying in from over El Paso.
