Default Water pouring off roof??

We just bought a place through a trustee's sale and when we turned on the water a deluge starts pouring over the edge of the roof. What could this be and who would you recommend to call to check it out? We are located just west of I-17. When I talked to my dad he thought it was probably the swamp cooler, however we do not have a ladder tall enough to reach the roof to check it out ourselves.

Sounds like a swamp cooler charging the pads to me.

Yeah. It's usually runoff from a swamp cooler.

yes, it almost certainly is the swamp box leaking a bit....it's not uncommon and is not too much of a problem to fix, usually....if you know nothing about them, you may want somebody to come out and do a full checkup of it....they are fairly simple operations.....

You Dad is probably correct, tckl8.

Sounds like the water line to the Swamp Cooler froze and broke during the Winter or maybe just a stuck float (similar to a toilet tank). There is always a cutoff valve inside the house . . . possibly in a closet or the garage.
