Location is usually the reason for major price differences of the same type of home. Warranted or not, East Valley areas are generally considered more desirable.

I don't care, the West Valley is not that far from the East Valley or any part of the Valley for that matter, that is a smoking good deal and worth checking out.

I'm staying where I am but that is a really good deal for people moving here or those considering buying a home in general.

shhhh - don't let the secret out

a ton of it has to do with timing as well

the whole demand angle of the curve

the SW Valley lagged the SE Valley in development - it was always priced less because of this

it also led to the situation where many of the new builds in the SW happened during the boom - and a lot of those homes busted

there is just a lot of options and competition .... very nice homes for a very good price

now it sucks if you bought in and you pretty much have no hope if you plan on moving in the next decade .... but that's not the problem for someone looking to buy in now for a long term home, vacation home or rental
