Everyone will give you a different story. All carriers have weak spots and blind spots. All the recommendations in the world are useless if the thing doesn't work where you live or some other place that you frequent. I believe that you have some sort of grace period when you sign up that allows you to take it back if it doesn't work for you.

My AT&T iPhone barely works anywhere. I'm breaking the contract and will happily pay the early termination fee for the two mos. I have left on the contract. Looks like T-Mobile is way cheaper than Verizon. Is the coverage as reliable around here?

My brother has had T-Mobile for several years, he often has full signal when I don't have a single bar on my Sprint phone. His 3G speeds are much much faster than mine, too. I'm not sure he has any dead spots. Verizon and T-Mobile are the best choices for the Phoenix area.

I bought a phone and signed up with AT&T and the phone worked perfectly in the AT&T store. Took it a couple miles home to my house and had zero signal and could not make a phone call or use data. Returned it and went to the Verizon store and have all four bars of signal at my house and have never not found a signal and I travel all over the valley.
