Default Superbowl 2008

I hear the Superbowl is being played in Phoenix next year. What if any improvements has the city made for this? Did they build a new stadium? I thought someone told me they were playing in a college stadium at the moment.

Sorry to tell you but the Superbowl is more then just a weekend thing. Will make a mess of things throughout the valley (traffic wise) but will also pump a lot of $$$$ into the area. A lot of the parties affiliated with the superbowl are planned for Scottsdale.

Reason #1 why they should have kept the stadium's name "Cardinals Stadium"

Its a nice, new, modern facility. But it's official name is the University of Phoenix Stadium. It has nothing to do WITH UoP, mind you.

Sure beats what it could have been. Pink Taco was putting in a bid to get the naming rights. Imagine that one!

With any luck my Bears will be in it again. It was nice to see them beat Indy last night.

Yes there is a new stadium in Glendale for the Cardinals, and the city is improving the surface streets that take you to the stadium, since right now, the 101 freeway is the only major road that take you there. When I drove on Glendale Ave right by the stadium back in the spring, after shopping at Cabela's, it was still a mess because it was under a major improvement project. Hopefully it'll be done before Super Bowl Sunday.

One thing I wondered about is.. what if the Cardinals end up in the 2008 Super Bowl? Will the NFL change to a venue in a different city, since the stadium is in home territory for the Cardinals? I've always wondered about that.

Not going to happen so I wouldn't worry about that.
