Default Property Taxes Maricopa/Queen Creek

Does anyone know if there is any difference in property taxes in Maricopa as compared to Queen Creek. We are looking to retire and our price range is up to $165,000 and these two places fit our budget.

QC straddles Maricopa and Pinal counties. Pinal is about double the tax of Maricopa. If you're looking in Maricopa AZ that is Pinal Co also. I live in Pinal, I don't think the taxes are that bad, less than $3000 a year, but still much more than Maricopa County, all depends on what your house is assessed at. Pinal assesses at 70% of FMV. Her's the site of Pinal County Treasurer

Pinal County (Queen Creek, AJ, Florence, Gold Canyon) just announced lower property tax rate to come soon of $3.44 per $1000 of assessed value. Not sure of the assessment ratio (percent of assessed value used for tax calculation of each county). Hope this helps. I know historically, Pinal County has been much higher than Maricopa county.
