Does anyone have any advice for living in Mesa regarding rental cost, crime, traffic, shopping, and closeness to desert? I have been looking at N. Phoenix and Scottsdale but thought that Mesa might be more reasonable for housing (apartment or small home rental).
I will be retiring but will look for work once I get there. I realize that I may not find it. I do like driving out to the desert.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
