Air guns are not regulated under federal firearms laws, so should be good with a pellet gun.

That is a great idea, RF. Pellet guns are cheap and fun and pellet guns have no brass to police either.

I was shooting with a Canadian at the Sierra Vista range today. Get a Green Card and buy all you want if you can pass the FBI check.
