Unhappy I almost got killed tonite....

...by a jack.ss who ran the red light not to mention going like 60+ in a 40/45 mph street. This happened about a little over an hour ago at the corner of 40th street and Indian School Rd.
This was my first motorcycle accident. This stupid driver in a white van hit the breaks the second I hit the breaks but I knew and he knew that he was gonna run right into my so he swirled to the left just enough to miss me by inches while I was laying the bike down after couple seconds of breaking.

I was only going like 30/35 and since it was full green to me I didn't think about slowing down and I wasn't even fast anyhow but this pyscho came out of nowhere and due to buildings and other stuff around the corner of the intersection I don't think I could see him any sooner.

Anyways, he slowed then and even stopped a few hundred yards down the road and then slowly drove off and disappeared!

A few young fellas who witnessed the incident came to help but by then I was already up and moving the bike off the road. Thank for nothing major happened to me or the bike. I was shaken up and pissed at first but later, I was glad because if he had hit me, this guy would probably be no longer posting on this forum....ever!!
Minutes later I got the bike to start and made it home. Several scratches and bruises and my left foot is pretty messed up, may be even broken cause it hurt like hell but overall I am OK.

I sure am glad to be alive!

PS. 2 cops drove by minutes later but despite all our signaling, they saw us but none stopped! Weird...

Your first mistake is thinking you can ride a motorcycle here in the Valley. You can, but shouldn't unless you want to die young. Second, it's "brakes" not "breaks"

Glad you're okay though.

Sell the bike, not worth it.

Glad you're o.k. Sounds like the man upstairs isn't finished with you yet! Hope your foot is better but you should get it checked. Policeman are fickle here too. Take care & be careful especially on a motorcycle. Andy

Damn, TurcoLoco . . . that's serious stuff.

Glad to hear you're ok but, as already posted, you should get checked out. Better sure than sorry.

Bikes are great as I've had my share but no more. Too many nutcases out there.

Good Luck and Take Care!

Sounds like somebody is watching over you. You're blessed. Glad to hear you're okay. Red light runners are the worst! Trying to save a minute can cost people their lives.

Red light runners and high speed drivers are what the Valley is all about, thats why I choose to not to live there. Put me in an armoured tank and I'll drive through any intersection without thinking twice!
Sad to say, but if wasnt for people like that out there, the medics and police dept probably would probably get bored handling only crimes such as robbery or drive-by's.
But thank gawd you were alright and hopefully someone was able to get a plate number off that van and report them.

So glad you are able to still post here. Powersurge, there are nutty drivers everywhere. The small town in N.Ca where we came from had too many little old ladies behind wheels that did not belong there. They caused more fatalities than anyone. What concerns me is the lack of police response, how sad.

As the other posters stated: it is not your time yet.

And; too, riding here is flat dangerous

Do us all a favor and please get checked out by a doctor just in case of other hidden problems.

Hmmmmm........maybe what almost happened to TurcoLoco and he giving us a heads-up is 'Gods' way of telling me to avoid moving to the 40th St/Indian School location when I plan to buy a house--------I have been contemplating that exact area.

This could have been a very serious accident even if TurcoLoco had been driving a car (maybe even worse because he couldn't have gotten out of the way as quickly).

TurcoLoco, I'm glad you're okay! These driving idiots are everywhere, aren't they? I almost got broadsided up here in Prescott pulling onto Hwy 69 on a green light. Everybody was stopped and then out of nowhere comes this idiot (I guess he didn't even see the light because he hadn't even slowed down) going about 60. He locked up his brakes when he hit the interesection. Fortunately the squealing brakes caused me to throw on my brakes or I would have been T-boned. My heart was pounding for the next hour.
