Default Good Real Estate schools in Phoenix Metro area

I am looking for good real estate schools in Phoenix metro area.
First of all does it makes a difference whether you attend classes at a C.College or private school ?

Thanks

Is the CC course spread out over the entire semester?

You can probably get through the required 90 hours faster through a private school, otherwise the material covered should be similar. Keep in mind that both are geared towards passing the licensing exam. I went through MCC:

Pre-License | Real Estate Education | Business & Information Systems | Mesa CC

Brokerages will not care where you went to school as long as you pass the state exam.

Arizona School of Real Estate is where most people I know studied. They have several options for classes and at least two locations - Scottsdale and Gilbert.

I went to Westford College of Real Estate for both my original licensee and Broker exams. I passed both of the exams first try. You may want to ask your potential schools what their current passing rate is. Since the exam is changed around occasionally by the ADRE, you might want to make sure your school is teaching a curriculum that addresses current exam questions. Westford is a good bet because their instructors (who have been doing it for over 30 years) have actually written some of the questions and are subject matter experts. Westford has two week crash courses for both original license & Broker. You can re-take any classes you want until you pass the test. They also give you online study material.

I have a feeling MCC is around half the cost but takes longer. It's $76/credit there for tuition, and the classes total 6 credits, if that helps.

The tuition at Westford is $389 which includes text and materials plus a 90 day online-study exam preparation program, a special review class, and your school exam. Cheaper than community college, yet you can take classes over if you want for free.

PLUS/// the required 6 hour contract "boot camp".

+1 for "Arizona School of Real Estate & Business" in Scottsdale.

I did the 10-day "crash" program & had no problems passing either the school's test or the state test.

FWIW, it is my understanding that the school's final test is harder (and has a much higher failure rate) than the state test does. The rumor when I took my class was about 30% failed the school's test the first time. Most of those passed the school's test the second time around. Although, I did meet one unfortunate soul (licensed in two other states!) who was on his 3rd try for the school's test.

Almost no one ever fails the state test if they make it past the school's test.

The reason being, the school doesn't want to get a reputation for sending unprepared students to the state test.

Don't get me wrong, it isn't that hard, but you do have to pay attention and study.

In my old state there was a loophole in the law, where you had to attend a 40-hour class, but you didn't actually have to pass to take the state test.

Az isn't like that at all.
