Default Anyone have info on Black Canyon City Area

Hello

We are planning to move to Az and are interested in the Black Canyon City area. We like to be off the beaten path (no electricity would be fine) and need land for a small farm. Does anyone have any information that may be useful to us about Black Canyon City Area?

Thanks!

Hello: Still looking for info on Black Canyon City? It's nice small town. The last time I was there, there wasn't any large chain stores of any type. Anthem May have that sort of thing by now. It's only around 30 minutes to Phoenix though, so you will be able to find what you need easily. The bad thing is the Freeway to and from there gets really congested during morning and evening commutes. Primarily due to Anthem. The elevation is a little higher, but still gets typical Phoenix weather.

Need Any specific info?

Cool New but seems nice

I will be moving to AZ during the summer of 2009. We have family in BCC and we are trying to find them but how can you find them when the address is a P.O. box? We have only be contacting each other by mail so we have never called each other to get the address...I will have to write to her and get the actual address. We wanted to surprise her with a visit for the holidays before we moved down there but I guess no surprise...
She says it is nice to live there..we will see

jrmarshall - Black Canyon City is a great place - you are close enough to Phx to get what you need but far enough away to enjoy the rural lifestyle. You would enjoy a small farm - now would be the best time to buy since the market is down. We have a grade school - but no high school. We have a small grocery store, and neighbors really help neighbors here.

Uhm why did you bump a 3 year old thread with a response to the OP. I'm sure they figured things out by now. Damn people and their worthless bumps.

Why do you always let this inadvertent bumping of old threads bother you so much? It's an internet forum, not brain surgery. Does it really hurt for one of these general threads to get bumped inadvertently?

If it happens to help someone else, fine, if it doesn't, it will drop down the list fast enough.

Because it is a pointless ****ing bump. That idiot is responding to the OP who hasn't been back in 3 years. People need to learn forum etiquette half the time its a spam bump.
