This is a fun post. I'm sure there will be many different opinions too.
1. Best sit-down, family Mexican restaurant? Valle Luna, Macayos (but I only like the one on 19th & Thunderbird- the Central one is yucky), Garcias, Tee Pee (could not decide on just one)
2. Best taco place? ???? I don't go to taco places
3. Best burrito place/ taqueria? Burrito Bandito (used to be good anyway)
4. Best Mexican seafood? I would not know- I don't like mexican seafood
5. Best "gringo" Mexican restaurant? Baja Fresh I love this place.

I didn't read all four pages but if it hasn't been said yet, I have to say Macayo's. I prefer the one on Bell but the other locations are good. I used to drive 200 miles just to get a Macayo's fix!

Frank & Lupe's in Scottsdale (quite possibly the best mexican food I have had)
Filibertos - ( I like the breakfast burritos )

I am a fajitas (food) fanatic so I always look for authetic or gringo mexican restaurants and try their fajitas to judge their overall quality since that I all I like really.
A co-worker told me about Fajitas (Dunlap & I-17), well, sad to say, it was OK at best.
I am still amazed with how tastey the fajitas (and steaks for that matter) tasted in most part of Texas. Even a very gringo chain-restaurant like Papasitas (Houston/Dallas) got fajitas so good that I have yet to find one that comes close (none in CA)!
I am hoping you guys can recommend a restaurant that has really good fajitas! I dont care if it is authentic or gringo style.

Best fajitas I've ever had in my life was at this place in Santa Fe called the Blue Corn Cafe. If you ever go there you owe it to yourself to try it out.
