Pool Service Costs in PHX Area
I have a medium sized Pool Service & Repair in the Greater Las Vegas Valley. I'm looking to start another branch and I think PHX would be a good choice. I was wondering if the market is saturated and if there is still a great demand for service and repair like Las Vegas... I see new pool guys here with AZ licence plates which I thought was a bit odd..?
If anyone has Pool Service , how much are you paying for a weekly full service (cleaning + chemicals)?
Thanks!

Thats about right, our average here in Vegas is $105, but it really depends on size of pool and the way the landscaping in the backyards are.

We pay $79 for our weekly full service.
I have a customer (I own an advertising magazine) who advertises $65 a month for full service (up to 10,000 gallon pool including chemicals).
$105 a month seems high to me as the average around here seems to be around $75 a month, even the $92 seems a bit high but again maybe it's a bigger pool/different setup.

$65 a month seems kinda on the low side, but a 10,000 gallon pool is small. Most of the pools we service are in the 15-30K size. If you figure in the cost of chlorine tabs (7 ounce tab is almost $1), Shock (2 bucks a pound), Acid (2.50 a gallon), Algecide ($15 a quart), gasoline, Liability insurance, health dept licence, state bus licence and city bus licence. Plus I am sure pools in PHX use more chemicals because it is hotter on the average than Vegas. Do people in your area check if their pool service is licenced with the county's health dept? or if they have a valid bus licence? or liability/property insurance?
