This may appear a little harsh but, in addition to The Fence, maybe we should add a "Shoot To Kill" approach towards those ARROGANT ILLEGALS who feel so comfortable snubbing their noses at our Border Patrol Agents.
The Mexican Government would then realize . . . WE ARE SERIOUS and stop encouraging, as well as subsidizing, their citizens to blatantly violate our immigration laws.

Sorry Bummer.
If I had taken Janet, than you wouldn't have any thing to gripe about.
Check this out. Honest government people in Kentucky.
House members return pay for special session
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - House lawmakers returned nearly $105,000 to the state treasurer on Friday, refusing to be paid for a special legislative session in early July that they didn't take part in.
“This gives Kentucky taxpayers the clear assurance that they weren't left footing the bill for the unnecessary special session,” House Speaker Jody Richards said in a statement. “We remain committed to the simple principle of no pay for no work.”
The money reimburses the state for expenses and legislative salary paid to the representatives for the week of July 5-10.
House lawmakers were paid, despite their objections, because a section of the state constitution required it.
“While it is legal for us to keep this money, House Republicans feel it is neither proper nor fiscally responsible to do so,” said GOP floor leader Jeff Hoover.

Bottom line . . . by eliminating all of the incentives, most ILLEGALS will "self-deport" in no time.
Have you considered running for a public office?

Run Forrest, RUN! Thanks for the endorsements, but I'm not qualified to run for public office: Not rich enough, not pretty enough, no hidden agendas, waay too confrontational, not at all politically correct, (the only Spanish phrase I know is 'manos arriba'- "hands up") and worst of all, I smoke cigarettes. O-M-G!!!
Seriously, BurtsBees asked how we get it done. I don't think we can under our current system of government. Too much is backwards: We're a Democracy -majority rule- for laws like the smoking ban, but for the important issues like enforcement of immigration laws, we become a Republic -we elect a handful of idiots and hope they'll do right by us. With few exceptions, they've been increasingly screwing it up for about 200 years since the first "George W" left office. Hell, even McCain is in favor of opening the borders! We have no politicians who are true patriots, who put America's interests ahead of all else.
Let me preface my next comments with this: I am very much a conservative. But I’ve never blindly followed party lines. I think Afghanistan was justified. There was irrefutable evidence of terrorist training camps there. Iraq was/is idiotic. Besides, it isn’t being fought as a “war”. It’s a police action. You don't give back territory you've fought and died for in war. Driving around trying to set off IED's is not fighting a war. It's Russian Roulette. At the end of 1941, we had a Jimmy Carter-like military and yet three and a half years later we had conquered two super-powers on opposite sides of the globe! We've been in Iraq much longer than that and we've conquered what-the "Green Zone"??? On top of everything else, Saddam was not a direct threat to the U.S.! Does anyone remember when he was an “ally?” Iran didn’t have the time, money or manpower to build nuclear weapons when they were fighting Iraq. Yea, Hussein was an evil person who murdered tens of thousands of his own people. And yes, he needed to have his butt kicked for Kuwait and we needed to keep him on a short leash. But he actually served America's interests by keeping Iran focused on him. I think it’s very noble to want to save the world from people like him, but we need to save America first.
The money being wasted on Iraq would go a long, long way towards securing the border. Actually I think there would be money left over for a party afterwards. (I think Bummer lives closest to the border. How 'bout we meet at his house? ) All the talk about a wall is just another example of their lunacy. We don’t need a wall. We need a buffer zone. It wouldn’t have to be more than maybe 100 yards across. We have more than enough "less than lethal" technology such as directed energy weapons-sound and light-to make it impenetrable. Add some razor wire and cover it to a depth of about three feet with a sticky snot-like mud compound, guard towers every two miles and we're done. It ain’t rocket science.
I'll get off my now.
Shark is on in 25 minutes. Time for .

Officer Nick Erfie's unnecessary death is more proof the border needs to be closed immediately!

I've lived in Mesa for the last 20 years and I have sadely watched this city become over run with illegal mexicans. They have literally taken over complete neighborhoods and trashed them beyond belief, you talk about ghetto. Not just mesa but 60% of all of arizona is mexican and most of them illegal. And yes alot of american jobs are taken, and no its not the jobs that americans won't do. Alot of americans are put out of work because of them being allowed to work here illegally. I am not a racist, but everyone should have to follow our state and federal laws. We don't need them, they need us. Mesa has a problem with illegal immigrants, which raises our taxes educating, housing, feeding, and giving free medical care to these people. They receive state welfare while they work under an alias name. Housing is expensive, and the schools rank at the bottom of the list. There is a huge problem with drugs and violence in the schools. The crime is much higher than the statistics show, we are one of the most dangerous states you could live in. We have been in a drought for years, the lakes and rivers levels are extremely low. The underground water tables are being depleated because of all of the building going on, there is a real concern about future water supply. There are some very nice neighborhoods in mesa-phoenix area, but there is more ghetto. You should see the town of guadalupe, look at the surrounding cities before you decide to move somewhere.
