Pretty much all schools in Gilbert are good, no matter if it is in the Gilbert, Chandler, or Higley district. Some may disagree about Higley, however, in 2011 AIMS results they scored 6th in the state, and is one of the Arizona Department of Education's "A" rated districts.

And, so long as you can provide transportation, and there is room at the school you choose, enrollment is open here, within and among districts.

Good Schools in Gilbert for sure. All of them. Go to greatschools.com (or .net), its a non profit website that has testing results and community ratings.

What most people have said above here are all correct. Unfortunately, these schools won't separate themselves as far as athletics either. It'll be more based on the location and areas in which interest you. I graduated from Mesquite High School myself so I may be a little partial.
