Well some people have no taste at all, or an ear for music.

I liked how you so easily admitted your shortcomings on this topic. Thank you!

My favorite use to be KZON 101.5 when they had the talk radio format. Now that they changed I mostly listen to my SIRIUS. KUPD would be my favorite terrestrial station now.

The valley is big on pop culture. I'm somewhat of an iconoclast so half the stations are out right from the start.

I dislike rap and hip hop, so a few more are gone.
Country/Western... meh
Classical... one choice
What I call "Mexican"... not interested in that
Jazz (classical jazz, not elevator jazz) ... can't find anything
NPR... borders on arcane and annoying sometimes, too much chatter

I think I stopped liking radio here when Star 97.5 got kicked to the curb. The target audience was the 35-50 age group so I fell below range, but I love old music and old-type music. Actually I would make a good retiree.

I now listen to overseas internet radio during the day, and sometimes some stations out of the East Coast. The East Coast is crazy and has too much traffic, but their radio selection is more refined.

Hardore soft rock/smooth jazz? Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron?

I used to listen to Adam Corolla and Tom Leykis.
Now I listen to the Edge. I like the morning ritual and I do listen to rock more than anything else.

Isn't that great, BillyBaroo?

The same SIRIUS or XM stations coming in loud and clear whether you're coming or going.
