I usually listen to talk radio: NPR on 91.5 and Air America on 1480 AM.

I shuffle through most stations but usually stop by 103.9 and 97.5. If nothing else is on, I listen to CDs.

PS. I feel a bit guilty since I have taken part in yet another thread-jacking.
What fun would a forum be without thread-jacking...?!

Listening to NPR while driving should be illegal, it's too easy to fall asleep.

Lol. If you're using it as background maybe. I hear so many interesting stories on NPR. Crappy music that plays on the radio lately puts me to sleep.

KYOT was almost too smooth. I would listen to it in front of the high school waiting for my son and I would fall asleep, head back, mouth wide open. I love that station.

I remember AM radio back in the '70s. KRUX, KUPD, and KRIZ were the three stations in Phoenix that all the kids listened to for top 40 or rock music. The '70s gave us some of the best musical variety of any era: soft rock, hard rock, disco, R&B, and country ... all of which was played on the top 40 stations. These days, all the top 40 stations seem to play is Britney Spears teen pop garbage, and tons of rap.

That's one reason I like 98.7 the Peak: they play whatever their listeners want, and that includes just about everything that came out in the 1970s & '80s. That's what I call a good variety!
