Yes, there is no shortage of suburban wannabes and food court gangstas all over the Valley. You will street plenty of guys with the flat brimmed hats, sagging pants, n word this n word that (all races), blasting the latest Lil Wayne record. These people seen to be everywhere but most concentrated in the lower income areas.

Some one was saying to me before about Phoenix that they had the highest gang and wannabes thugs in south west part of US after LA.Not sure if that is true .

And I have not been to many cities in the US or Canada or been in Phoenix that much to know .

Then perhaps it is better not to bring it up based on what "someone" said, that you can't say is true based on your experience.

Oh god this is so true. The craziest thing I hear all the time are hispanic thugs who keep saying the n word.

Anything I post is firsthand.

It is pretty bad. I'm not sure that gangs are that prevalent in Phoenix. This place is certainly a far, far cry from South LA on that front. There are just a lot of young guys who feel they need to adopt ghetto tendencies to fit in with their friends. We don't have many drive bys because the wannabes normally don't go that far. They normally just go out in public trying to look as hard as possible, while just looking like frauds in the process. They might tag things, smoke weed at the bus stop, or get into fights at the mall, but that's about it. If you're coming from a smaller town, these people might seem intimidating. If you're coming from a large metro area that actually has a gang problem, you'll see these fake clowns for exactly what they are.

It is pretty ridiculous. That would never fly back east, but here it seems it can fly out of anyone's mouth and no one blinks an eye.
