It was certainly a change from what we usually have. It's odd to me that people here tout the dry heat as being more comfortable than a humid day in the Midwest or the Northeast, yet when we have a day like this everyone is overcome with joy. This is exactly what a humid summer day in South Florida is like. No so bad after all, is it?

The point was that it was a break from the 100+ days we've had for so long, nothing to do with the higher humidity we had as that was the lone problem with the day.

Although my kitchen ceiling sprung a leak this morning, the rain was coming in so hard, today was brilliant. Sat down to type my book, warm cup of joe, fish and chips for lunch, and the sound of rain outside to hold the serenity. I loved every second of it! Even better I wore pants and long sleeves as the temps dropped to about 66 around 2 pm today. Fall is coming!

Pants? Long sleeves? What's are those things? I'm blissfully unfamiliar.

Where did you find pants and long sleeves, I was unaware they sold those around here.

Nope, not so bad a couple of times a year, either would be a couple of snowy days. Just a couple that is.

Except no, because while the temps and humidity may be the same, it would be sunny, which makes it a LOT hotter. Cloudy with 80s degrees and high humidity feels nice.

Smile Yes, it is a gorgeous day

Yes, it is a gorgeous day. My front yard garden was beckoning, and I just came in soaking wet from hard work. But gardening is relaxing for me, a stress-buster! There are, however, times when I think it would be really nice to have a back-yard swimming pool to jump into!

My house is a little bit of a fixer so I'm working outside quite a bit on it and I must say, having a pool to jump into, even for just a minute or two is heavenly. Instant gratification. I jump in, cool off and back to the job at hand. I'm so glad I got a place with a pool.
