Short of dumpster diving, does anyone know a good place that I can find junked computer parts like monitors, motherboards, non functioning cell phones and many more? I am having the hardest time.. Not looking to pay for them.

There is a scrap market for those things, and plenty of computer/electronic recyclers here in phoenix. Short of dumpster diving, or someone just giving away odds and ends, I doubt there's anywhere you'd find em. You're having a hard time because people are watching every penny these days.

There is a boy scout troop that puts on a monthly computer and electronics swap meet. It's called electronicfest. I haven't been and don't know all the details, but you can look it up online.

Dumpster diving is illegal in all 50 states.

It can also cost you your life.

Which of course begs the question, why are you looking for computer trash?

worth it and why wouldn't someone be looking for computer trash? Electronic design is interesting, why wouldn't someone want computer trash?

I'm not sure why you'd expect to find them for free. However, I know that ASU periodically sells off things ridiculously cheap.
