Can anyone tell me what parking options there are for PHX airport? Are there any covered parking lots, and what are the prices? Do they have shuttles to and from the airport?

Thanks!

What more information could you possibly want?

Terminals 3 and 4 have covered parking garages for short term parking. I believe it's $4/hour. Both are at the doors for each terminal.

I think terminal 2 has a surface lot. Also $4/hour.

There are two long-term garages, and one long term surface lot. $4 an hour and $11 and 9 dollars per day, respectively.

Additionally, there are two cell-phone waiting lots, which are free if you are picking someone up. You wait, they call you, and then you drive to the terminal to get them.

There are shuttles running between all of these lots/terminals. The shuttles are free.

It's pretty simple. All of the on-site lots are about the same, convenience wise. Going to terminal two? Park there. That simple. The long term lots don't really have any pros or cons. You're leaving your car there. Getting to the airport from the lot is free. Pick one.

Off site, there are two that I know of. Preflight Parking and The Parking Spot. I believe both are cheaper than the onsite lots. I believe both offer shuttles.

I thought I would ask on a discussion forum for people who live in the city, as they will often have advice that isn't available on the official PHX website. Here in Tucson, for example, we have a number of independent parking lots near the airport, which all have their good and bad things about them.

Parking is parking. What can be good about it? We have always used Sky Harbor parking just cause we do. We have never used the other private lots since it doesn't save any money, may not be as safe, and I don't see any reason to do it.

If you are picking up a person, I always have them shuttle themselves to the car rental place. Very easy from there.

I use Parking Spot. I get a discount as a state employee, they may have some other discounts, too. Mine applies to their lot at 40th and Van Buren. Vans run really often, it's cheaper than the on site parking.
