Has anyone stayed at the Coronado? I will be looking for cheap temporary lodging (a few weeks) in late December/ early January. The Coronado was recommended once if I found myself is such a position. It looks older but not too ratty walking by. Curious if anyone has first-hand experience staying there.

Matt's Big Breakfast, in its old location, directed customers to the Coronado for restroom use. I've seen some pretty negative comments about the restroom(s).

For what it's worth the Coronado Hotel is the current address to a person on the AZ sex offender list.

I think for what it's worth is the operative phrase there, given what can get you landed on that list that most of us would not consider threatening to our own personal safety. And, the number of people who manage not to register, or not keep their registration current, factors into what that information means in this context.

I've been in that area many times, and can't even picture the place at the moment. That's on me, of course!

Very convenient location! Everything is close. How much is it to stay there anyways?

I'm not sure. It can't be too much. Next time I'm near there I plan on walking in and asking.

I'd pick the Downtown YMCA for temp housing over that place.

Downtown Housing - Valley of the Sun YMCA Phoenix AZ - Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA, Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA, Copper Basin Family YMCA, Desert Foothills Family YMCA, Ross Farnsworth - East Valley YMCA, Flagstaff Family YMCA, Glendale/Peoria F

They have two rates one is downstairs without a bathroom or kitchen there are bathrooms down at the end of the hallway those rooms are $30 a night.
Then there are rooms upstairs that have bathrooms in them those are $40 a night. Also there are only 3 working stoves in the whole place and I have one of them . The rooms are not the greatest but at least there are very few to no bugs in the rooms .I have been down on my luck lately so I have been hear around 2 1/2 to 3 months and they spray for bugs once a month witch is great . As long as you don't interact with most of the people hear I think you will enjoy the place as I do. PS. They check people at the door so if you want a friend to come over you or they must pay $6 at the counter in order to enter the building. 3 out of 5 star's
