I don't know. It seems to be that if you need to go through all of that to buy this 'stuff', you really afford the 'stuff' to begin with.

Who are we to judge what these people do with their spare time or money? From the newscast yesterday the first man in line said this is a tradition of 13 years for him. He spends a lot of time going back from Colorado to Arizona and every year he comes down for the NASCAR race...stays for black Friday and saves around a $1000 with everything he purchases. If this is how he likes to spend his time...more power to him, he's adding to our economy.

Sad. As jkgourmet stated, if you are willing to camp out through a major holiday to save money, can you really afford the item? The deals aren't that amazing and it's all crap that will be outdated by this time next year. I don't know who would skip Thanksgiving with their families to get a $179 TV. Maybe some of these people are planning on having their Thanksgiving meals on the sidewalk in front of Best Buy. Trashy. I don't understand the mentality of these people where electronics are more important than friends and family.

I don't understand Black Friday all together let alone camping out. No way am I going to fight all those people, my time is much more important to me than any stuff.

My women-folk look forward to Black Friday all year. They won't camp out and they don't get there for the door busters either. But they go out in that madness and have a really good time of it. I stay home with the dog and watch football.

Manufacturers use these sales to get rid of their low end stuff. Advertise "55 INCH LED for ONLY ****"...sounds like a good deal until you actually find the model number. The stripped down bare bones models that no one would buy on a regular day.

Sometimes it's just fun. My daughters and I use to do it and like Ponderosa my husband stayed home with football and the animals. lol
I now sit online, they have black friday deals on the internet as well. It's not as fun, but not as cold either.

I think today is a bit early though. It must be his challenge for the year.

It's a free country. Pursuit of happiness kind of thing.

Don't we have bigger things to worry about?

The sad thing is it does affect others, because of these freaks some people don't get the spend the holidays with their family. They have to work earlier and earlier into Thanksgiving to cater to these losers so they can save $50 on a crappy TV. Greedy all around.
